I do not fear the reaper
For in its symbolism I trust
Always the same
Never change
Death alone he is
What I fear is emotion
Putting my heart in another
Am I willing to trust again
Am I willing to live
I do not fear the night
I do not fear its darkness
For everything is hidden
Everything is silent
What I fear is daylight
The reality of a naked soul
Letting someone in
And letting myself go.
