Fear The Sun

::Fear The Sun::

I do not fear the reaper
For in its symbolism I trust
Always the same
Never change
Death alone he is
What I fear is emotion
Putting my heart in another
Am I willing to trust again
Am I willing to live
I do not fear the night
I do not fear its darkness
For everything is hidden
Everything is silent
What I fear is daylight
The reality of a naked soul
Letting someone in
And letting myself go.

Sweet Release

~~ Sweet Release ~~

Blue eyed angel steps inside
The forbidden fortress where darkness thrives
Find the girl with the cloudy eyes
Steal her from the Demon Knight

He holds her close and whispers her name
Wipes the tears that stain her face
Promises to be there forevermore
If only she would let him into her world

She opens the door with a fearful sigh
Embraces the warmth that floods inside
And in a moment of sweet release
Her heart is enveloped by his angel wings

Hear the thunder as the walls come down
Her dismal tower falls to the ground
In the arms of her angel prince
she gives him her soul with a teardrop kiss

Green Upon Green

Green upon green
Water drenched trees
Under a canopy I write
Comforted by the sounds of twilight

Green turns to gray
As the day starts to fade
The colors go home
When the Moon takes the throne

Still I sit here and write
A poets delight
Under a canopy of trees
Touched by a gentle spring breeze

Gray turns to blue
As the stars come in view
I must go back home
To my fortress of stone

Green upon green
My eyes you have seen
My voice you have heard
My words you now read

The Rift

::The Rift::

It’s starting to happen again
The clouds form warning of rain
Her tower offers no protection
Since it crumbled and faded away

The angel stares at the sky
Midnight wings dormant at her sides
Eyes wide open
No words spoken
Shell shocked her fear starts to rise

She let him come into her world
He found the lost little girl
Too much he sees
But not willing to flee
He stands still to take it all in

The rift between the angel and the prince
A dark deep bottomless pit
They can see each other’s eyes
Across the jagged divide
And wonder when this separation will end

The angel feels fog at her feet
She turns her face so he will not see her weep
Should she walk away
Or should she stay
After all the prince holds the key.

It was goodbye
He did not have to say it
But deep down inside she knew it
She could tell in his look
His speech
The tone he had
The words she read
It was goodbye
He did not have to say it.
Goodbye she said.
