Cotton Candy and Blueberry Dreams

You can only drown it for so long
It comes back in waves
Tidal waves
Tsunamis of the past
Emotions that were banished
It comes to you in pain
The hitch of your breath
The heartbeat that hurts
The wet eyes that burn
It comes in waves
Crushing
Pounding
Drowning
Dying at the ocean
It comes to you in waves
What could have been
What should have been
What dreams were made of
Yet alone you are
With Vodka as your savior

Random thoughts of lost Poets.
And maybe a bit too much to drink.

Winter’s Night

Meet me by the wooden bridge
Meet me as twilight falls
Carry with you a single white rose
And I shall wear the colors of fall.

Meet me in my dreams
Meet me just past midnight
Carry with you a candle
And I shall wear a gown of white.

Let us escape to dreamland
Let us enjoy our enchantment
Let us embrace our fantasy
Let us partake in destiny.

Meet me by the wooden bridge
Just at the edge of the wood
Meet me just past twilight my love
Listen for the sound of my flute
Carry with you a single white rose
And I shall wear the colors of fall
Meet me on a winter’s night
And claim me as your own.

What They Leave Behind

I sleep under blankets from boyfriends past
One is white like clouds
The other blue like the ocean
I don’t hang onto them for sentiment
I would gladly trade them…
For a space heater
I like to be warm when I sleep

Dark Lord, Lady Light 02-06-1995

Trapped behind glass in a world of silence
A dreamer sits and watches the night
Remembering stories from a time once forgotten
About the dark lord who courts the lady of light
A far off glimmer appears in the gloom
Alas, she comes to dance to her doom
The white gowned angel and the dark demon night
Meet with a sweetness and mixing of light
Their dance as elegant as waltzes of old
Entrance the dreamer with a magickal hold
The courtship of ages comes to a close
As the lord hands the lady a single black rose
Suddenly the angel cries out in fright
And runs away from her dark demon night
She saw in his eyes her own tragic death
When night captures day and the sunlight is quenched
Alas the lord has lost his bride
She has gone to the light forever to hide
As the stars wink out one by one
the dreamer sighs with the coming of dawn
